Application Support Analyst
We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual who is service oriented and enjoys a challenge. You will be working in a fast-paced environment as part of a global team, supporting our in-house suite of trading, risk, and third-party applications. You will be working closely with multiple teams; from system developers to operations giving you exposure across the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the administration, monitoring and maintenance of Capstone's core trading and risk platform
- Developing deep relationships with our investment teams and responding to issues to provide a world class support function
- Collaboration with internal partners including middle office, treasury and operations
- Managing multiple external relationships including our external counterparties, oms vendors and our market data providers
- Real time prioritization and timely resolution of mission critical issues
- Perform QA testing for new functionality
- Ensure trading systems are performing as intended through series of system checks
DESIRABLE CANDIDATES:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline
- 3-7 years’ experience working in a production support function
- Basic understanding of one or more global market asset classes
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with an ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various stakeholders across various teams
- Exposure to trading systems [EMSX, Flextrade or similar EMS systems] and understanding of OMS order flow
- Essential technical skills: FIX, Unix, SQL
- Experience with Python preferable
- Must be flexible with work hours and/or expected to respond to and troubleshoot issues
