We’re excited to feature Zara Ogah, whose journey from a Graduate Analyst to a full-time role on our Operations Team underscores our commitment to cultivating talent at every career stage.

Zara joined Capstone in the Summer of 2022, stepping into the London office as a Graduate Analyst in our non-investment rotational program. With a First-Class Honors degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Essex, and a formative internship at Universal Studios’ finance department, Zara brought a solid foundation in financial acumen to Capstone, and an eagerness to learn.

Reflecting on her decision to join Capstone, Zara shares, “I never envisioned starting my career in a hedge fund, but the diverse opportunities and collaborative culture I encountered during my interviews drew me in. Capstone felt like the perfect place to begin my journey.”

The rotational program provided Zara with a unique perspective on the business. She gained hands-on experience across various teams, including Operations and Treasury and Portfolio Finance, enabling her to take ownership of responsibilities and understand the broader business landscape. “The rotations allowed me to delve into problem-solving and gain a deeper understanding of complex issues, which I found incredibly rewarding,” Zara notes.

Zara’s transition to a full-time role in the Operations Team was a natural progression. “The opportunity to continue working with a team I enjoyed during my grad program was a ‘no brainer.’ The supportive culture and collaborative environment made it an easy decision,” she reflects.

A highlight of Zara’s time at Capstone has been participating in the London office’s charity events. “It’s wonderful to contribute to great causes while having fun and seeing the competitive side of my colleagues outside the office,” she recalls fondly.

Zara appreciates the friendly and open culture at Capstone. “The people here are always willing to have a conversation and help out, creating a collaborative environment that fosters learning and growth,” she says.

As Zara continues her journey with Capstone, her story is a testament to our belief in empowering individuals to explore new avenues and make meaningful impacts within a supportive and dynamic setting.
