At Capstone, we understand that our technology, infrastructure, and environmental efforts must grow with us.

1. Data provided by Liquid Technology

Most recently, Capstone's London team moved offices, prompting expanded e-waste recycling.

"Technology systems investment driven by the office relocation resulted in a 38% decrease in energy consumption per London-based employee. In addition to conducting e-waste recycling of less energy-efficient equipment, Capstone donated some equipment with remaining useful life to Great Easton Primary School."

– Steve Schatteman, Director, Head of Infrastructure

We continue to partner with Liquid Technology – a company that provides equitable computer equipment liquidation solutions, including E-Waste Recycling, throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

Each year, Capstone's Infrastructure Team works closely with Liquid Technology to assess our current unused equipment, retired servers, and old data storage.

The teams then work together to create a plan to properly dispose of the equipment and data, reduce our technical waste footprint, and meet modern green computing standards. This process delivers comprehensive data sanitization reports and industry-recognized certifications, ensuring the secure and environmentally-responsible disposal of data storage devices in compliance with leading data security and environmental standards.

LEARNING & GROWTH

Organizational Development

Capstone is committed to cultivating a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring our people are equipped to meet the evolving challenges of the industry and drive sustained success.

Interns gain exposure to both the investment and non-investment sides of Capstone. Our structured learning series builds practical understanding of the hedge fund industry, provides access to senior leaders, and culminates in a collaborative final project presented to Capstone executives.

2025 Intern Program Recap

In summer 2025, we hosted 21 interns across our New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and London offices.

"I loved my internship at Capstone. I built real systems, including high-speed logging system, dashboards, and early AI control plane design. Being trusted with projects that mattered, while having people around me who were always willing to teach and challenge me, made the experience incredibly meaningful. I walked away with sharper technical skills and a deeper understanding of finance."
– Diana Echeme, Analyst, Quant Developer; 2025 Capstone Intern

At Capstone, we know that strong leadership requires continual learning. We remain committed to implementing our Manager Training Program, which provides year-round training curricula for managers. Each level of training addresses the specific needs and challenges faced by managers at different stages of their careers – and cultivates a culture of live feedback and real-time growth.

"What has resonated with me over the years is how intentionally Capstone invests in leadership development – not just at the senior level, but at every stage of a manager's growth. I've seen firsthand how the manager training has equipped my team with stronger tools for feedback, decision-making, and people leadership. The investment is meaningful, and it shows in how we lead."
– Cristin Grimm, Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer

Through Capchats with Paul Britton, employees speak directly with our CEO and Founder. In these intimate sessions, staff can share their Capstone experience and gain valuable insights from Paul.

"CapChats really embodies Capstone's collaborative culture because it gives employees direct access to the CEO. Being able to chat with Paul about firm initiatives and having him get to know us personally is really unique. It shows Capstone genuinely cares about its people and their development."
– Kevin Doolan, Associate, Management Accountant

Similarly, Paul hosts small group sessions with new hires, providing an overview of the firm, its identity, growth trajectory, learning experiences, and core values in a series called Capstone Immersion.

"One of the most unique aspects of our onboarding experience is the opportunity for new hires to hear directly from Paul. Success here is a two-way street – while you drive your career forward, the firm is here to support and empower you every step of the way. Hearing that message directly from the CEO is rare, and it leaves a lasting impression."
– Christina Ryan, Analyst, Learning and Development, People Team

This series hosts internal and external speakers to share insights on professional and personal growth topics with staff. Recent Captivate sessions featured acclaimed guests like New York Times bestselling author James Nestor and poker player Tiffany Michelle.

"I attended the session with Dori Levanoni from Solutions. I enjoyed learning about his unique educational and career path that ultimately led him to Capstone. I do a lot of career development outreach, and I love being able to genuinely tell young people that there is not one "right way" to end up at a hedge fund."
